Aided by our 3D CAD system we continually optimise our casting operation and engage in new developments including prototyping.
For complicated parts of the form and shortest realisation, laser-supported rapid prototyping is used. The prototype drained according to this forms the basis of the following series-production. This accelerates the development and ensures the high-quality renewal-process of the high-quality functioning parts.
Thanks to the know-how from over 200 years of high-grade-steel experience all cast-technical aspects can be considered beforehand so that later, a fast and quiescent filling of the form can be guaranteed without piping.

An efficient core shop with different core-production-procedures is available.

In our induction melting furnaces our high-quality steels are melted. The comparatively small melting-aggregates allow a high flexibility, which offers Friedr. Lohmann GmbH the opportunity to develop special programs for specific requests.

Modern dressing equipment is accommodated in a spacious building. New manipulators, lifting and extraction equipment at every workstation and an enclosed separating machine ensure quality, safety and an excellent working environment.

In accordance with the lot sizes and individual requirements of the field of application, the cast parts are produced in the company-own-hand-moulding-, machine-moulding-, automatic forming- and shell-moulding facilities. The weights of the pieces lie between 0,5 and 500 kg.
Our modern automatic moulding facility represents a milestone in our long-term investment policy and makes us an even better casting partner for our clients, thanks to the accompanying increases in quality and performance.

The newly established pattern store allows efficient and organised access to our stock of metal casting patterns. This means shorter delivery times for our customers.
