1790 Founding of the „Stahlfabrik“ (‘Steel Mill’) by Johann Friedrich Lohmann at Haus Berge in Witten, Germany (Haus Witten)
1812 Development and production of the first German crucible steels
1834 Friedr. Lohmann, brandy distillery and steel mill
1847 Friedr. Lohmann cast steel & filing mill
1859 / 1860 Initiation of production in Herbede, Germany, starting with the founding of the rolling mill and hammer mill using water-driven power
1870 Gussstahl-Fabrik, Walz- & Hammerwerke Friedr. Lohmann
1910 Expansion of production to include high-alloyed tooling steels and high-speed steels
1917 Friedr. Lohmann oHG
1922 Friedr. Lohmann GmbH, Gussstahlfabrik, Walz- und Hammerwerke
1939 / 1940 Closure of the Haus Berge production location. Installation of a crucible steel furnace in Herbede
1951 Start-up of the 1st graphite rod furnace

1955 Shutdown of the crucible steel furnace

1980 Start-up of the 4 t induction furnace and replacement of the graphite rod furnaces
